Summer compares her experience in the NICU before and after using MyRoo Tube
Blair, Texas (Cesearan Birth)
"I loved using MyRoo Tube in the OR! It allowed me to hold my baby skin to skin immediately after birth and I did not get that opportunity with my previous C/S. He was calm and stayed warm snuggled with me in MyRoo Tube. I liked how secure he felt in it and having him skin to skin kept my mind off of what the doctor was doing. Once we were in the recovery room I was able to breastfeed in MyRoo Tube and it helped hold him and made breastfeeding easier.
The nursery nurse commented on how much she liked MyRoo Tube. She said it held him in place, kept him warm, and made her job easier. She said she wished all of her mothers had one."
Karin, Texas (Adoption)
"We were blessed to be able to adopt our baby boy from birth. MyRoo Tube was instrumental in helping us form those critical bonds. I spent hours in the hospital skin to skin with my sweet boy which wouldn't have been easy to do and certainly not as comfortable without MyRoo Tube!"
Joanna, Texas (Twins)
"I couldn't imagine my experience of having twins without MyRoo Tube. I was skeptic that a piece of material could provide such support, comfort, and security for my boys. They were just around 5lbs each and both boys required extra time in the nursery. They stayed 12 days. Everyday I looked forward to the moment I could hold my boys on my chest, wrapped in the warmth of the MyRoo Tube. It was these moments that got me through each day.
Babies are born wanting to lay close to mom and research goes on and on about the benefits of skin-to-skin for both babies and mom. MyRoo Tube makes skin-to-skin so much more special. It was truly the greatest feeling when I got to have both boys snuggled together on my chest. It will forever be my favorite peaceful, precious moment with them. I am so thankful I got to have MyRoo Tube and I hope everyone gets to experience what I have experienced."
Jaci from Taos First Steps Program, New Mexico
“One of the reasons MyRoo Tube has resonated so well with me is that it goes along with the underlying philosophy of our Taos First Step Program, which provides a home visiting service to families from pregnancy to age 3yr. Our program is relationship based and infant mental health is an important aspect of our program.
Bonding, relationship competence, and optimal brain development are just a few of the tremendous benefits from skin-to-skin contact between an infant and their parents. MyRoo Tube has been instrumental in creating these critical bonds.
I like that both mothers and fathers can wear MyRoo Tube and the comfort and ease of use encourages parents to hold their baby skin-to-skin for extended periods of time.
I highly recommend MyRoo Tube!”
